LEAD ACTOR

ADRIAN GONZALEZ can currently be see in the feature film, TEJANO, premiering in May at the Dallas International Film Festival.  He has acted in various independent films and has voiced characters in video games and animated features, most recently in 20th Century Fox’s FERDINAND.  TV credits include Superstore(NBC); The Affair (Showtime); Kevin From Work (Freeform); Your Family or Mine (TBS); The Bridge (FX); as well as smaller roles on NCIS, NCIS LA, and The Mentalist (CBS).  LA theater credits include FIXED (Echo Theater Company); LORD OF THE UNDERWORLD’S HOME FOR UNWED MOTHERS (Skylight Theater); COLONY COLLAPSE and MOJADA, A MEDEA IN LOS ANGELES [u/s] (Boston Court); and LORCA IN A GREEN DRESS (CASA 0101).  He has worked in various Chicago Theaters like The Goodman Theater, Teatro Vista, Victory Gardens, Pegasus Players, The Artistic Home and The Side Project.  You can catch him back on stage in TAR by Tom Jacobson with Playwrights’ Arena at the Atwater Village Theater, running June 9th – July 2nd.  He is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Theater Program. 

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

DOUG TOMPOS brings over 30 years of professional experience as an actor to his directing and writing.  He began his career in New York, where his acting credits include the original Broadway production of "City of Angels" and the Off-Broadway hits "Forever Plaid" and "Jeffrey". He has performed his original solo show "Bent to the Flame – A Night with Tennessee Williams" at theatres nationwide, and was awarded “Outstanding Solo Show” at the 2007 NY International Fringe Festival. As a founding member of the Los Angeles theatre company Workshop 360, he directed the West Coast Premiere of "Fire Eater". Recent directing credits include "Commencing" and Patrick Marber’s "Closer" (Fugitive Productions), "Belarusian Dreams" (Global Theatre Project), and Tennessee Williams’ "Vieux Carre" (USC School of Dramatic Arts). Doug plays a leading role in the recently released supernatural thriller, DIANE. His other Film and TV appearances include roles on "NCIS:LA", “Aquarius”, “Masters of Sex”, “Mad Men”, “Close to Home“, “The West Wing”, and “Frasier”, among others; the feature films BEING MICHAEL MADSEN, THE SLEEPWALKER KILLING, THE ULTIMATE LIE, and OCTOBER 22; and the award-winning short films ADJUST-A-DREAM, WINGED, and POSITIVE. Doug’s varied regional theatre credits include "Cassiopeia" (Theatre @ Boston Court); the title role in the solo show "R. Buckminster Fuller: The History (and Mystery) of the Universe" (Portland Center Stage), "Angels In America - I & II" (American Conservatory Theatre, SF), "Mourning Becomes Electra" (A Noise Within), "A Doll’s House" (Ensemble Theatre Company), "Of Mice and Men" (South Coast Repertory), and "End of the World Party" (Celebration Theater - DramaLogue Award). He is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Professional Actor’s Training Program and The Banff Centre of Fine Arts in Canada.

PRODUCERS

RISA BRAMON GARCIA and STEVE BRAUN are the co-founders of THE BGB STUDIO in L.A., an artistic home for actors, writers, directors, filmmakers and casting directors.  Their work, along with an amazing array of teachers and actors, is dedicated to fierce artistic exploration and the pursuit of every individual’s unique voice.  COMING OF AGE was developed, filmed, and edited through the collaborative effort of members of the Studio.

 

For the past 35 years Risa has worked consistently as a director, producer, casting director, writer and teacher.  She has directed the feature films 200 CIGARETTES and THE CON ARTIST, as well as numerous TV shows including multiple episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE, and shows on HBO, Lifetime, and Comedy Central.  Her film casting began with DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN and continued through more than 65 films including classics such as THE JOY LUCK CLUB, FATAL ATTRACTION, JFK, WALL STREET, BENNY AND JOON, and FLIRTING WITH DISASTER, among many others.   She’s cast numerous TV shows and pilots, including ROSEANNE, CSI:NY, all four seasons of MASTERS OF SEX on Showtime, THE AFFAIR, and  SEAL TEAM.  Risa served as Producer on Oliver Stone’s films HEAVEN AND EARTH and NATURAL BORN KILLERS, movies she also cast.

 

Steve is an acting coach and communication consultant, drawing on many years of acting training, Buddhist practice and martial arts training to help his clients discover and express their unique emotional truth.  While pursuing an acting career Steve starred in movies such as HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE, WRONG TURN 2, and THE TRIP, and was a series regular on THE IMMORTAL and TWINS.  He guest starred on BONES, GILMORE GIRLS, THE CLOSER, NCIS and THE MENTALIST, among others.  Steve’s mission is to help people and organizations discover and express their unique voice and bring the totality of their creative power to their work and their lives.

NICK CINELLI is a multi-faceted filmmaker from San Francisco. Graduating with a BA in Photography and Studio Art from the Claremont Colleges, he went on to work between Camera and Art Departments in Los Angeles. Because of his experience in different aspects of filmmaking, he was confident to try his hand at stop-motion animation.  He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Directing Animation at the National Film and Television School outside of London.

MARCUS HENDERSON is an editor, an actor, director, writer and all-around wearer of many hats. His recent accolades include winning the 2016 Blackmagic Cinema Challenge at the 19th Annual Dances With Films independent film festival. He’s been shooting and editing lots of videos since he was just 12 years old, and is currently producing and starring in dark comedic short films which will soon be hitting the California film festival circuit.
